      god, what a stupid waste of human life war is.

      It’s hard to picture 1000 people, really. Like, that’s all your friends, all your extended family, and hundreds and hundreds of acquaintances from over the years. The idea of that many people and all their hopes and dreams and experiences and connections just… ceasing to exist in a day, all because of some powerhungry old men. It’s as heartbreaking as it is difficult to wrap your head around.

      This is the issue, being able to lose 114 artillery systems and it not be the end of the military push. This just shows that Putin’s war economy is built to sustain insane losses. That would put a normal military in a really bad back foot position, Russia just brings the next batch forwards.

      We fucked up so bad by not being there from the start pushing back with Ukraine. I get its political suicide but the EU could have resolved the Russia problem by now, instead they built up and we will still have to get involved.

      I’m assuming a lot of the losses are from imported men from third world countries in Africa and Asia where their lives have been exchanged with their governments for oil
