Looks like a pretty well drafted complaint. Being as it’s titled „Second Amended Complaint,“ it looks like it’s the third try. The plaintiff is apparently just amending the thing on his own, maybe to fix what he thinks might be defects of some sort. I haven’t made a line by line comparison. The operative version is the most recent.

The case was started on April 12, so it will be awhile before the defendants respond. Their first salvo will be a Motion to Dismiss, probably claiming that an individual lacks „standing“ to bring this case. The plaintiff has tried to meet that expected objection by claiming that he will in fact be personally harmed. The defendants will also claim that the plaintiff has failed to allege „facts upon which relief can be granted.“ That’s just legalspeak for „even if what you say is true, you still can’t win because, well, shit happens.“
This one will be fun to watch.
