Ich habe erwischt, wie Onstar verwendet wird, um den LKW aus der Ferne in den Notlaufmodus zu versetzen, und kann nur im 1. Gang fahren.
Well that sucks! I’d ask a sub that has automotive techs in it. If it can force only 1st gear, removing it might be a kill switch.

The fault is probably being reported out through onstar.

Do you own the vehicle? Are you behind on your payments?

Dude you tripped your silent alarm. Call OnStar.
Here’s the directions if you want to do it yourself
Insert your physical key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).
Watch the anti-theft light (often a padlock icon or „Service Theft Deterrent System“ message).
Wait 10–15 minutes until the security light stops flashing or turns off.
Turn the key to OFF for 30 seconds.
Repeat this process up to 3 times, then attempt to start the car
Ok ao you have a spectrum analyzer that triggered what looks to be over a frequency.
Now where is the proof… that something or someone is triggering this? Ie you’ll see data packets. Most of these cars have a usb port. Have you tried to ssh in and see the network activity
What module contains the onstar and ehat module controls the transmission? Im sure that’s under transmission or drivetrain
Being that you’re spectral analyzing your car im sure you can brute force it into dev mode.
Overall all I’m seeing is jack shit and fuck all as evidence
Edit: also you juat posted a Pic of the analyzer wtf do you have it hooked up to? The ecu? Whaf part or part of the board are you tapped onto?
Onstar sends their data ota .. over the air. This is normally via lte via a Sim card embedded in the car. You can go into settings and basically kill all the ota atuff.
The meat and potatoes is if you have unrestricted access via the obd2 port or can busway via the USB. I drive an audi so there are differences but im able to ssh into my usb port as if its a network cable (have to buy a dongle) but people never rtfm digging around i was able to source th3 chip inside the dongle to a widely manufacturer usb to cat cable adapter. Plug it in and viola now just aome pen testing for ip etc and youre in.
From there dev mode and brute that and the car is now fully unlocked its like jailbreaking your car

Dumb question but can all vehicles with Onstar be remotely shut off? What about the oldest model vehicles with Onstar?

Hahahahaha! I hope this is a larp. If not, dude…go do something fun. This kind of thinking isn’t good for you. No one gives a shit about you and no one is hacking you.

OP: Well you’re just a big dumb idiot and wrong.
OP if you actually want to get to the bottom of this and this isn’t just the rage bait you’re 100% making it into maybe idk have an actual discussion of your method and how you are sure this is an attack and not a lot of other options that it could be… cause it seems like you’re pretty dead set on this being for sure a hack and not any other option. Not to say it’s impossible or even unlikely, it’s just the way you are carrying yourself here makes this seem like you are just trying to rage bait.
Regarless if you pay for the service or not onstar does check in to their servers.
And with the above mentioned… If it fails or sends corrupted signals, the vehicle’s computer may interpret this as a critical fault and activate limp mode to prevent damage. This could just be the car going to check in and for whatever reason in that area it causes a signal issue. There are a myriad of things to check BEFORE you go straight to „I’M BEING HACKED!“
Have you even checked with an obd2 scanner… ya know that will actually read what the car is saying is an issue… or were you working a job and have this happen with your tool bag on you and your first thought was „MY CAR IS BEING HACKED“ and you immedately went to scanning the airwaves…
this is basic troubleshooting… you have a spectrum analizer go back to your days of working helpdesk and actually troubleshoot.

What year is the vehicle? You might be able to get away with removing the fuse, and in the case of a newer Silverado, it’s usually in the instrument panel fuse block. But I also don’t know what model you have. What does your owner’s manual say?
