The vast majority of the UK’s meat and veg is produced in the UK during the summer. The war in Iran has absolutely nothing to do with any potential shortages.
I would imagine it’s entirely just fearmongering and there’s absolutely no risk at all. But if there were shortages of these things I’d think it’d be more likely didn’t to hope the current government keeps increasing and increasing tax on farmers to the point that producing food for the nation is becoming unprofitable, and selling the farmland to developers for a new housing estate is the only way these farmers can survive.

No no no, you’re reading it wrong. Just like with chocolates the government will raise rations! The UK government has raised meat rations from 500gr per person per week to a whopping 700gr! Thanks to the state for this generous increase!

Yep I’m in the US and am furious over our additional 10-20% increase at my local wholesale club from just last week. This is unsustainable and its going to end very poorly. I just hope we start aiming that anger at the f bags that caused this
