All Japan does is such the lifeblood from these highly skilled individuals for Japanese gain. They’ve shown that throughout their entire history. Then once they have had their way with these skilled individuals, Japanese say sayonara. Japan doesn’t want these people staying around. Not to mention the poor working conditions, the pay, and the language barrier. Why would anyone with that level of skill want to come and work in Japan?

  2. Japan can’t even keep their own skilled workers. So many of them want to go abroad because of the system. I swear I have never seen a country shoot themselves in the foot as much as they do. The problem is once they get their degree, Japan does everything to push these candidates out. So who is going to want to stay in a country that doesn’t value them? “Thanks for your money, now piss off!”

If I was clever enough to do a valuable PhD I’d hope I’d be able to do it in a country where I would not be bullied and discriminated against, with the degree of racist abuse depending on how the political wind changes from month to month.
