      i will never forget the story an Iranian refugee once told me.

      Her 2 nieces were caught with flyers for feminist activism at school. They were 12 and 13 iirc. They were taken and executed by gunfire. Her sister got a bill in the mail detailing the cost she had to pay for the bullets used for the execution.
