I find myself avoiding alcohol more and more these days.
I love a beer when I’m in a good mood but too many times I was drinking even just one or two out of habit.

It’s about time we acknowledged that alcohol is a drug. There used to be a set of unwritten rule around alcohol among polite society. One being that you never pour for yourself first, don’t drink alone, etc. These weren’t just etiquette they were to keep you from killing yourself.

i tried my first cigarette 2-3 yrs before alcohol. Both suck and can lead to lifelong dependence.

It was for me.
Alcohol and going out every weekend leads to cocaine eventually and then in my case to oxy for hangovers which replaced drinking entirely and eventually lead to heroin for me.
Clean 8 years tho
