Haven’t seen Mr. Musk as crazy in public these days as he was even 18months ago so I guess I should check Polymarket to see if there is a bet on if he tries to sue to block this business deal…
How do smart phones transmit to satellites. I thought you needed a lot of power and a substantial antenna?
I’m not sure what to feel about this news, but if it fucks over Elon Musk then I’m all for it.

Yeah, eventually, some of it will come back down and disintegrate, but we’ll also just keep sending stuff back up there as well, so the rate at which it comes down will be far outpaced by it going up.

Does anyone know if the T-mobile / Starlink “agreement” is still in effect? SpaceX was going to provide 5G NTN for T-mobile customers from what I recall.
There is zero difference between Bezos and musk. They both are maga resource hoarders who want to rule the world.
What does it matter? My cellular provider works with Star link. So when my apple phone goes satellite, it’s through star link.
This is my new favorite example of a lesser evil, or the best of two bad options.
It’s even better because Apple are themselves another shit company who I choose for video rental versus Amazon because I haven’t seen them fuck up a movie’s aspect ratio yet.
