    1. „Peter Magyar’s landslide victory in Hungary this week offers inspiration to Americans hoping to overcome President Trump’s corrupt, authoritarian approach to politics. The key question is precisely how Mr. Magyar conducted such a successful opposition campaign,“ writes the Times editorial board.

      It adds:

      >Hungary is obviously a very different country from the United States. But Mr. Orban’s rise and [his use of power](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/04/opinion/hungary-orban-republican-party-trump.html) were long models for Mr. Trump. Now, Mr. Orban’s demise can be a model for the Democratic Party and any other party that is trying to defeat an authoritarian right-wing threat.

The best way to defeat Trump is to have better ideas behind a better candidate. It’s that simple. It shouldn’t be hard. Kamala’s campaign was too scared to let her go unscripted for 3 hours with Joe Rogan. Hillary made gaff after gaff.

Biden didn’t shoot himself in the foot and surprise surprise he won. The next Dem candidate should be able to proudly stand on their record and go toe to toe with Vance or Rubio.
