I dont disagree that the convention the weekend before the vote might have changed things however maybe the indications were always there that the Liberals were going to be competitive.

I am so tired of this idea of pointing to other parties’ success to justify your failure. You’re telling me that you can’t find anything you did poorly and could improve upon next time?
Yes, there’s some situations where you’re not going to win but you’re also not going to improve blaming everyone but yourself.

Not running 2 paper candidates in the other ridings to access the increased spending limits, was a very stupid decision. Sacrificed a seat for the purity of not running anyone outside of Quebec.

Personal responsibility and the willingness to admit fault or wrong doing are critical to my perception of people.
Somebody who blames others for their failures as opposed to looking at how they could improve, does not belong anywhere near power.

I doubt there was a single person voting in Terrebonne that didn’t know their vote was essentially a referendum on giving Carney a slightly more comfortable and democratic majority.

If this time the Bloc lost by more than 700 votes instead of only 1, perhaps the Bloc should understand that Quebecers mostly agree with how Mark Carney is leading the country (especially considering that sovereignty in Quebec is at an all-time low with more than 80% of Quebecers against the idea).

They can’t even lose with respect and dignity, zero responsibility for their own failures, just look at twitter, the major PQ-Bloc bots on there are going haywire with racist postings, calling that Haitians could not possibly represent Quebec. That there are too many Indians on the north shore.
Some saying in 20 years time they will all disappear and be rounded up. Poor Denis Trudel is awfully silent as well right now. Though he too went on a questionable tangent when he lost his seat (justified, was a really bad MP) last election.
Even though they want immigration who are Francophones, they are not getting the right type of immigration and they will go as far as to say that people who have a right to vote should not vote because of who they are. That only a certain people should only ah e the right to vote in Quebec.
Now I’m not saying these people make up the majority of the separatist camp, but wholly hell is there a lot of them, and I will call them out.
Money and Ethnic vote had only one truth that night, it’s that some people cannot lose with dignity and respect.

Blaming the other parties is a great thing to do.
