I think the Swiss should be allowed to have a society that shares the complexion that most of the Swiss want.
If they vote for this that is their right.
I think the marketing of it as a “sustainability” issue is perverse. But it is something Switzerland, Europe and
all developed countries need to discuss. How do you sustain the country and our economic system without endless growth that is not yielding the same quality of living benefits as before.
It is bad planning that makes things unsustainable not the immigrants themselves.
Its pretty clear nobody wants to „solve“ immigration. The SVP would not have a topic anymore if this was truly solved.
And there are many creative ways to improve the situation, many of which have not been discussed because its not aligned with interested parties that control politics or the media.
Things like „AHV malus“, rezoning argi land, the „white zone“ concept in Zug, etc
