Because the people we specifically pay to make sure this doesn’t happen have been bought by the people with the psychiatric illness that compels them to hoard such that nobody else can have anything.

Honestly, I feel the only way the rich would lose money at this point, is if the stock market completely collapsed.
And they’d still be ok

Yup, inequality keeps widening globally. It’s way worse in the US and China.

Hard to have any sympathy. Canadians have been warned many times and keep voting for the liberals. Votes have consequences and we are living it.

It’s all those poor people keeping us down. If only we could just have rich people everywhere, who’re always known for being fair and not gaming the system. Alas.

>Many Canadians are not just feeling financial pressure, they are navigating an environment that continues to shift, increasing uncertainty and making it more difficult to plan, budget, and stay ahead financially,
„Affordability is the best its been in a decade“ according to Carney two weeks ago. Sorry peasants but the adult in the room, r/canada’s favorite role model the elitist banker, has spoken so shut up and listen ✊😤.

I mean, are we surprised?
Our pm is a globalist elitist with more ties out of Canada than he has within Canada. Dude probably hasn’t flown commercial since before some of his voters were even born.
most of our premiers are also elitists who benefit in one way or another from the misfortune of the average citizen
Many of our MP’s, MPP’s, city councillors and mayors are in a similar boat.
Plus our countries economy is largely run by monopolies that make diversification in many markets almost impossible, which doesn’t help
On top of all of this, most Canadians are spending a large portion of their earnings on essentials like housing and food. All while our dollar is consistently losing value

Whenever u come across a trudeau supporter who says trudeau was so cool due to some vibes based reasons
Remind him that under his time inequality from a wealth and income basis rose to record levels in canada
They likely will rage quit and call you a convoy supporter lol

We’re not creating wealth and the wealth that exists is being transferred from the working and middle classes to the upper class.
Canada will become Italy in 10 years and if nothing changes by then we will be on our way to becoming Argentina.

The richest could put their money in the lowest returning investments possible and that gap would always widen annually. Silly headline.

This is what tax cuts do. This is what theyre designed to do. In our graduated system you keep those higher income tax brackets at higher % amounts and this is inequality will disappear.
Im sure people would vote for a party that promises to raise vs lower taxes….

This is what Canadians have voted for.
Which is good, because I think everyone should get what they vote for, even if it makes their lives a living hell.

Hey Liberals, remember when Carney so co confidently boasted „judge me in 6 months by the grocery prices“?
How’s that working out for ya? Oh right, highest food inflation in the G7…and we’re a country that produces a massive amount of food. Other countries like the UK have higher populations and less production, and somehow* our inflation is still worse.
