Ah lads what’s wrong with people. No wonder there is a shortage of Gardaí

    2. Some people will be getting a knock on the door and a trip to court over the next few weeks

Remember: this “protest” wasn’t sinister far right sabotage led by convicted criminals. Certainly not.

    4. ConfusedCelt on

Why are they hiding their faces anyway their literally public law enforcement

    5. Easy-Tigger on

Huh. If only there was some sort of group that enforced laws and prosecuted criminals. That might solve a lot of problems. We might even call them something like „the guards,“ because they’d be guarding. Pure science fiction, of course, it’ll never happen.

It’s a disgrace sharing names and photos of Guards online, it’s just downright sinister and hopefully action will be taken on these people fast.
Showing once again how these protests were hijacked by the worst people!

Some posters more put out by the guards attire than the actual threats. Weirdos.

More and more we see how this was never a legitimate protest of any kind.

and some clown was wondering why they were wearing masks saying they remined em of ICE

So when ICE members gets doxxed and threatened by far left agitators that’s acceptable but not this? Now the Garda are running around masked up. Interesting.

It is time to deal with there lunatics now. We need online accountability laws that are fit for purpose and we need dedicated enforcement resources.

I’ve seen two Garda getting this done the first of one has made a video on some social media driving by a protest calling them all wankers, fuck them etc and has a good few newspaper articles written about her and the second is well known because he is in some community groups/clubs I never seen any information being posted about them that wasn’t already out there

    13. Who’d want to be a guard nowadays. I also saw a good few people on social media saying basically if a guard comes into your pub or restaurant, don’t serve them and tell them they’re not welcome. Bloody horrible.

    14. That cesspit of a fb group mas on a mission has been doxxing loads of them as well as posting a ton of AI slop encouraging more disruption. Literal dregs of society

I seen people share badge numbers but I presume you cant find information on the person from that? Surely not?

If the badge number is on them im sure thats fine because doesn’t that just identify them to whatever station there from?

      Im not sure tbh?

      Peaceful protest… It’s a peaceful protest… IT’S A PEACEFUL PROTEST!!!!!! 🤔

    17. Journalist: „Hi, I’m with the Irish Times, do you support the fuel protesters?“

Very smart person: „yes, yes i do, the poor craythurs“

It would be nice if those “well-known agitators” actually spent some time behind the bars.

    19. >At Whitegate, *The Journal* asked a number of gardaí why they were covering their faces. Some said it was to prevent their identification.

Does anyone find it troubling that Gardaí used tactics to actively prevent their identification before any action was taken? In my opinion, the commissioner’s statement sounds like a PR outlet’s attempt to preempt a potential story about excessive and unwarranted use of force by tarring the victims who were trying to identify their assailants.
