      If nothing else, by attacking Iran the US showed that what happened to Russia in Ukraine was not a fluke or the result of Russia’s military being weaker than advertised. Traditional military technology and tactics are less effective on the current battlefield with the introduction of inexpensive drone warfare.

      Trump has weakened the perceived power of the US military and the deterrence the perception provides.

      If you look at any ship tracker you can see how Iran is monitoring it.

      Any ship traveling through the strait has the bribe/agreement text right on their ID as „Destination“

      Aka, for Chinese ships it says „CHINA OWNED AND CREWED“ instead of the destination.

      1. Iran regime change: Israel win/US win
      2. Iran collapse into civil war Israel win/US loss
      3. Iran lashes out and destroys Gulf/GCC power, energy and desalination plants. Israel win/US huge loss
      4. Iran survives with a „deal of the century“ : US loss but presented as win/Israel loss.
      5. Iran wins by making the USA tired(strikes on ships, taking a destroyer out of service for 6-24 months) depleting all stores of naval interceptors, etc. US loss/massive Israel loss.

      Ultimately Israel wants to crush all its neighbors power projection.

      It’s amazing how I, some dummy with the internet…. am able to anticipate exactly how this all plays out… while the POTUS seems to stumble into repeated easily realized blunders repeatedly.

      Im wondering how much longer the world is going to be ok with that start of that last sentence.. „Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz..“ Its international waters. Yes the USA started this all, but how long will everyone else be ok with another country openly stating it controls international waters (yes China said it here not Iran, but Iran makes it clear its not „open“).
