  1. Its almost like nearly all water we’ve drank for all of human history had fluoride, and we adapted well…

It’s not going to convince people who don’t trust science that doesn’t match their deep beliefs, but I’m glad there is more evidence that it’s safe to use.

Is there a study on why people are so stubborn to accept facts or overwhelming evidence that contradict their belief? It’s blows my mind how stupid people are and scares me about the future. Thanks to them we have Trump doing massive damage to our future.

It would be cool if people got that riled up when talking about smartphones and social media- things that are actually proven to be detrimental to cognitive health

I’m pro fluoride, but the whole study is all inferred consumption? They don’t have the actual data that says how much fluoride the people consumed…

Now take a trip to England and Japan and do non-scientific survey of everybody’s teeth. You’ll be a strong proponent of fluoride in tap water.

  7. Fluoride in drinking water may not lower IQ in people, but low IQ in people may lower fluoride in drinking water.

The main thing I don’t get about this conspiracy is the same thing I don’t understand about the flat earth conspiracy – the lie is costly and the gain is…nothing.

It costs cities enormous amounts of money to very purposefully, fluoridate the drinking water, like between 50 cents to over 5$ per person per year. Tons of studies indicate that the ROI on this is INSANELY high – something like 25% fewer cavities in average in a city with fluoridated water according to CDC reports.

Who benefits from fluoride being evil??

  10. Everything is a conspiracy when you’re dumb asf and won’t believe science. Looking at you MAGAts

  11. Sounds like something someone with a flouride stare would say. (sarcasm tag)

  12. Ironically, the people that think it does probably don’t have the IQ points to spare

This will not help those that lack an understanding of science. Like my father, this is just more liberal bs. Some people can’t be helped. Also, there have been cities that remove fluoride and then put it back in the water when they see people with increased cavities.

What that „shows“ is not nearly as important as what RFK jr and others „feel“ it does.

„Study shows what had already been shown by previous studies and decades of experience. At least one third of Americans will still ignore study and claim fluoride in tap water is dangerous.“

A dental hygenist asked me if I wanted the flouride rinse after a cleaning. I was weirderd out because usually they just ask what flavour. I told her of course I wanted it, why would she ask? And her reply was : „nobody wants it anymore because its poison“

Like it matters. No one believes anything. All credibility is lost. The average person can’t tell truth from fiction.

This is the perfect post for Nene’s annoyed face while crafting gif. Sadly I’m not allowed to gif in here so let’s all pretend together.

  19. Now that that’s settled, make sure no one tells them about the iodization of salt!

We can’t let them know why they’re so dumb, otherwise they’d be smart enough to know why they’re so dumb!!!

One thing I can tell you is that it helps prevent cavities between your teeth. I am an adult now but when I was a kid I grew up in an area where there was fluoride in the water. I didn’t relalize it, but when I went to a new dentist he asked if I grew up there, and I said yes, how did you know? And that is when I found out how well fluoride works.

What really sucks about banning fluoride is it affects folks who cant afford dental care the most.

Next up…ban iodized salt.  Make goiter great again!

  23. > *Why would we worry about a chemical that the government puts into the water? Animals can now be trained to fly, including several species of bird. Think about the military applications.*

I don’t understand why people value a few IQ points over having strong, cavity free teeth.  This was a huge issue in Canada and most cities in my province have not supplemented fluoride in the water for decades now, and I doubt this will bring it back because the people running for city councils are still under the misinformation that IQ is affected.  *Even if IQ was affected*, having strong teeth that last your lifetime is a way better health outcome than a couple IQ points.

I was told that it influences the calcification of the pineal gland, limiting our natural dimethyltriptamine, keeping us sheeps in this video world. Now its being suggested that probably isnt true? Shocking. Good thing I dont let psuedo- i mean science like that influence how I vote on politicians!

  26. You are trying to convince the people that think vaccines were designed to kill us and that the earth is round and that trump is not a rapist… Not going to happen

I recommend knowing some basic facts about the element Fluorine, one of the more interesting and unique elements: [https://www.thoughtco.com/fluorine-element-facts-606534](https://www.thoughtco.com/fluorine-element-facts-606534)

For example, „Fluorine is the MOST reactive and MOST electronegative of ALL the chemical elements, the lightest halogen gas, and the 13th most abundant element on Earth (but 24th most abundant in the universe). It is also one of the major element components in Teflon or PTFE is (C2F4)n, dubbed the „King of Plastics“, one of the most common human made ‚forever chemicals‘.

The City of Calgary Alberta Canada took out fluoride, while the nearby city of Edmonton did not.

Calgary saw a significant drop in dental health, but no drop in any of the conditions associated with side effects. Edmonton saw no changes.

Calgary is now putting fluoride back, though some are still fighting it despite the clear and unambiguous evidence.

  29. Telemere125 on

Oh yes it does. I guarantee those anti-fluoride idiots have brain rot from their mouth fungus.

  30. The fear in fluoride sounds like a conspiracy theory put out by the dentist’s lobby. Why are they even considered luxury bones?

Oral health is super important and if you were actually serious about improving health outcomes, oral health is right up there.
