No one in Japan pronounces it “aw-nah” it’s アナ/a-na. Never heard anyone pronounce it エーエヌエー though 😅

It’s all there in the airport announcements. “A-N-A” in both English and Japanese. JAL is “Japan Airlines” in English and “Nihon Koukuu” in Japanese. As the article mentions the “Ana” pronunciation is no more but JAL still has “Jal” branding for things like their JAL Mooove! entertainment system.
I do like the Zennikuu moniker for ANA though, brings back Pan Am vibes
