      So I guess now instead of Iran causing the oil price spike cause they block the Strait of hormuz. US is fully responsible for the oil price spike cause theyre the one blocking now.

      How do they blockade? They intentionally wander outside of missile range. Going closer is counter productive. 

      Will they board neutral vessels in open waters?

      They import a lot of Iranian crude.

      80% of Iranian crude goes to China which makes up about 14% of Chinas oil imports.

      Good luck with that „blockade.“ The Chinese Navy is already in the Strait escorting their own tankers, so the U.S. Navy is basically being asked to play chicken with a superpower over a $2 million credit card transaction.
      ​Trump completely failed to predict that the „weapon“ wouldn’t be a missile, but a Yuan-denominated toll booth. Now he’s trying to use the Navy as a repo man to stop the rise of the Petroyuan. This is exactly how the guy bankrupted his casinos—doubling down on a losing hand and hoping the other side flinches first.

      So let me get this strait. You want to close the strait you ostensibly want open because gas prices are tearing you a new one?
      To do so you are going to need to commit massive amounts of naval resources to the strait itself, the Gulf of Oman and/or Arabian Sea.

      >CENTCOM said the blockade will be “enforced impartially against vessels of all nations.” It said it would still allow ships traveling between non-Iranian ports to transit the Strait of Hormuz.

      Trump is trying to pretend the Strait is open while trying to prevent Iran from being resupplied(?). Honestly, it’s dumb and not going to work. Fuck Trump.

      Last night trump said the blockade is in effect immediately. Now this. Tuesday, after his insiders buy oil puts or short positions, he’ll announce there is no plan for a blockade.
