      Interesting to note that a naval blockade is unilaterally an act of war of which we have still not technically authorized, mostly because the limp dick Congress conceded their war powers and are just plugging their fingers in their ear shouting hysterics when anyone points out what’s happening.

      Illegal and likely won’t happen. It’ll be an act of war against all countries who want to exercise freedom of navigation on the sea.

      Trump’s talking about using the navy to restrict freedom of navigation in a waterway that isn’t even close to the US, never mind within its territorial waters.

      Then on top of that, he wants to use the navy to attack sovereign vessels in international waters where the US has no jurisdiction.

      Basically piracy then and an act of war against various sovereign countries and independent vessels. It wouldn’t just affect Iran, it would affect any country trying to move cargo in or out of the Persian Gulf.

      The US has shown themselves to be a rogue state under Trump, but this would be something else.

      My mom said she voted for him because he’d run this country like a business. I said that doesn’t work because businesses and governments are working towards different goals. And to add on: this man’s businesses tend to go bankrupt. She all but covered her ears and said lalala when she told me I was wrong.

      This is the result. You run a country like a failed business and everyone suffers.
