Mary Trump sagt, MAGA-Überläufer „können mir ihre Empörung ersparen“

(From the article): „Mary Trump, the estranged niece of President Donald Trump and a longtime critic of her uncle, is dismissing the wave of prominent Make America Great Again (MAGA) figures now turning against the president — arguing that those who cheered him on for years „can spare me their outrage.“

In a Saturday post titled „Let the Fissures Widen,“ Mary Trump wrote that the high-profile defectors, which include Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, Joe Rogan, Nick Fuentes and former Georgia lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene, are acting out of self-interest rather than principle, and that their belated criticism does not entitle them to redemption.

In a Saturday blog post titled „Let the Fissures Widen,“ Mary Trump acknowledged the growing chorus of conservative voices breaking with her uncle including Carlson, Owens, Kelly, Rogan, Fuentes and Greene.

Mary Trump was unsparing in her assessment of their motivations. „Every single one of those people helped get us to Donald Trump,“ she wrote, arguing that Trump is no different today than he has ever been. „They see the writing on the wall, they’ve decided that it’s in their best interest to turn against the person they’ve been loyal to for the last decade.“

She catalogued what she described as Trump’s long record of harmful actions — from the child separation policy and COVID mismanagement during his first term, to the deaths she attributes to Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) gutting of USAID funding, to what she characterized as illegal military strikes in the Caribbean Sea — arguing that the defectors were silent throughout. „The high-profile loyalists who cheered Donald on while he was committing all of those horrors can spare me their outrage,“ she wrote. „They are the worst of us — racists, Christian Nationalists, fascists — most of whom have been spreading hatred, bigotry, and propaganda long before Donald won the 2016 election.“

Despite her skepticism, Mary Trump stopped short of dismissing the defections entirely, saying that if Carlson, Rogan, and Owens can open some eyes among their audiences, „that’s a good thing“ — while insisting none of them should be rehabilitated or given credit for „saying the right thing.“

Trump responded to the defections Thursday in a lengthy Truth Social post, calling out Carlson, Kelly, Owens, Greene, and Jones by name and dismissing them as people with „Low IQs“ and „stupid people“ who are „LOSERS“ seeking cheap publicity.

Meanwhile, the White House has shown little regard for Mary Trump’s criticism of the president. White House communications director Steven Cheung previously told Newsweek, „Mary Trump is a stone-old loser who doesn’t have a clue about anything.““

She is 100% correct. Think what you will of her, personally I’ve enjoyed her podcasts as she usually has great guests and she’s spot on with this.

On the one hand, i agree with her. In the other hand, i think we should embrace these defectors to encourage others. It will take a lot of defections before he loses power

I don’t give a fuck about anything a Trump supporter says or thinks. Their fucking vibes, their feelings…

I don’t care if Iran was finally the red line for MAGA, I refuse to speak to them or call them friends or family.

I hate when the trumpets say that trump changed. He has never changed, aside from his mental decline over the past decade. He has always only done what is best at the time for himself, completely devoid of morals. Now starting a war to distract from the Epstein files is in his best interest, and makes perfect sense to those of us outside MAGA.

He didn’t change, you just wilfully ignored the many, many signs that this is who he is.

And she can spare me the pseudo political analysis. Beyond me how an unknown psychoanalyst has become a political commentator! Not terribly impressed with her observations on the current political moment, the Trump regime or the rise of MAGA. Talk about careering on your name!

If the repentant MAGAs want forgiveness, then join the movement and help the rest of us rid ourselves of this administration.
