    Against animal testing:

    >the information learned using animal testing often doesn’t translate into success in humans. Ninety per cent of drugs tested as safe and effective in animals end up failing in human trials, according to several studies.

    – Organs on chips are more accurate models of human organs in a lot of ways

    For animal testing:

    – Organs on chips often miss whole-system interactions between organs, until that’s sorted animal testing is still relevant

    The real hurdles:

    >some animal testing is still required to fully validate the data and fulfil the government’s public safety requirement

    This country is a hellscape to animals and constantly defunds science so this is pretty on par. CCAC is a complete joke.
