Monaco fühlt sich während der Grand-Prix-Woche wie eine völlig andere Welt an.
Beim Grand Prix von Monaco geht es nicht nur um Rennen – es geht um die Atmosphäre, die Stadt, das Chaos und irgendwie auch um die Schönheit des Ganzen.
Die Straßen werden zur Rennstrecke.
Balkone werden zu VIP-Sitzen.
Und der Hafen füllt sich mit Yachten, die wie schwimmende Hotels aussehen.
Sogar die Fortbewegung wird zu einem Teil des Erlebnisses – alles wird langsamer, der Verkehr ist dicht und die ganze Stadt ist rund um die Uhr belebt.
Manche Leute machen Rennen.
Manche streben nach Energie.
Manche wollen Monaco einfach von seiner verrücktesten Seite sehen.
Ich persönlich denke, das Beste daran ist, in dieser Woche einfach durch die Stadt zu laufen – man hat das Gefühl, in etwas Kultigem zu sein.

More everything to be finished and that everybody leave
Don’t get me wrong I like the atmosphere but it’s a nightmare to live in this time of the year
I was anti Monaco having the race. Just visited this week, I get it now. It’s an event that transcends the racing. That said, my hope is smaller
Cars with new whacko regulations leads to a better racing product.
That’s a really honest take — and probably the most realistic one. From the outside it looks glamorous and exciting, but for people actually living there, it must feel like your whole routine gets turned upside down for a few days. Easy to enjoy as a visitor, very different when it’s your everyday life.
