Mr Price shelf-pricing has always been a nightmare. Misleading in purpose. I end up not bringing things to the counter if I don’t know exactly what it’s going to cost.
And I was happy to see „now they’ll have to change that“ because they’ve been fined.
Nope. The „fine“ is 300 euro. The dirty practice is basically perfectly legal for a 300 euro free.
Jack it up to 2% of revenue for second time offenders.

Yeah they’re not going to stop doing it if they make enough profit to absorb the fines

I went to the counter in Mr Price before with an item that had a sticker on it that read 3.50. They scanned the item and looked me in the eye and said 4 euro.

I tried to return an unopened item to Mr Price around Christmas time last year and I had no idea that they only do returns for 7 days. I had been 9 days because it was a gift for a family member that I was going to see the following week.
I’ve never seen a return policy so scabby like that before, especially around Christmas when most places have their returns extended until the end of January ffs

The local Lidl is the same. There’s no prices on the shelves or they don’t update properly. I have to look through the leaflet to see the price of anything in the middle aisle.
