The problem in dealing with any of these groups is that every country directly involved in this war is led by people for whom disinformation is a tool of their trade.

Impossible to believe anything said by Iran, the US, or Israel, these days.

    2. I refuse believe this. Even our current administration understands that getting thousands of people killed including 13 U.S. deaths for one of the biggest strategic losses in U.S. history is a horrid look.

I think they are just stalling for extra troops & supplies.

Another day, another win. Any Americans up in here that are still hungry for even more winning?

      >U.S. officials said at that time that the money was restricted to humanitarian use only, to be disbursed to approved vendors for food, medicine, medical equipment and agricultural goods shipped into Iran under U.S. Treasury oversight.

Pretty clever. Releasing supervised funds for exclusively humanitarian purposes is a strong show of good faith, and since the money was Iran’s originally, it doesn’t cost the US anything to do so.

At this point US might even allow Iran to collect the toll on the condition that the toll should be collected only in US dollars .

We might see a TollDollar deal like petrodollar .
      Dollar should keep recycling.

“We gave them $150 billion and $1.8 billion and we got nothing.” This fat bitch in 2019

    7. $30 billion and 13 dead U.S. service members for a stronger Iran.

      Art of the deal.

    8. Maybe a dumb question but why is it up to the US what happens to assets held in Qatar?

    9. Let’s see if MAGA freaks out like they did when Obama paid back Iran with their own money.

Agreed how? They arent even negotiating. All the articles about their negotiators being in Islamabad was a western lie.

    11. this is legit the biggest strategic L a major power has taken since russia in afghanistan. like holy fuck. the us is going 100mph backward

it may be the biggest strategic l a super power has taken since the world wars in the end. this is nuts

    12. Didn’t Obama catch a lot of grief from Trump for turning over Iranian money back to the Iranian people?

Endlessly bitched about when Obama does it an actual nuclear disarmament agreement.

Just fine when Trump does it for nothing in return.

F maga and anyone still supporting this

So now Trump is paying Iran. Didn’t he nonstop complain about Obama for releasing money

    15. FUCKYOUINYOURFACE on

But when Obama did this as part of negotiations he was sending Iran money. lol these right wing people will spin this as a strength because it was Trump who did it. Morons.

Isn’t this almost exactly what Obama did minus all the war stuff…?

    17. Glad we are giving them everything they want. Sounds like a successful mission…

    18. Iran is going to end up much richer and will modernize its army with brand new Chinese weapon systems…

    19. I’m sure we’ll hear ceaselessly how the Trump admin sent the Iranians “pallets of cash” for like a decade and a half, right?

    20. Over-Willingness-933 on

Iranian sources say a number of things, each more far fetched than the other. The likelyhood is there is a promise to do things if Iran agrees to sponsoring no more proxies and gives up the uranium.

    21. THE. EXACT. THING. THE. RIGHT. HATED. ABOUT. THE. OBAMA. DEAL. grabkgj.fqb;aij.vbfa;d

jfc. At best, we are getting a shitty JCPOA out of this debacle. At **very** best.
