  1. No issues with this at all, if he did this. We all know what the other side does when they have a sexual assaulter in their midst. We don’t need to defend Swalwell after this shit.

The honey pot thing should have ended his career. I admit, he was a very loud opponent of Trump and I found that cathartic. He should resign. The investigation should run its full course.

I was watching something burn up crashing down to Earth in California tonight and thought it was Artemis II upon re entry, but it turns out it was just Swalwell’s gubernatorial campaign.

Some of the dems need to drop out or youre going to end up splitting the vote and getting a republican gov who is a conspiracy theorist

See how easy this is Republicans? You actually don’t have to spend your life defending sex pests, rapists, and pedophiles.

  6. Finally. Katie is our best choice. Even with her flaws. They are not these flaws. Don’t just vote, knock on doors and volunteer on the campaign and make sure people vote as much as it takes until we have the government we truly want.

  7. Gotta be Porter.  We can’t let a billionaire with private prison ties trick us into thinking he’s a progressive

  8. Good riddance to this piece of trash – I will say, insanely beneficial for the GOP on the timing, but I also won’t sit here and cry foul – I believe the women and I also need the Dems to coalesce around 1 candidate (not Swalwell) now

The california dems are absolutely terrified of losing the governor seat because of a messy scandal. they are forcing him out right now so they can coalesce around a safer candidate before the primary. it’s brutal but it’s pure political survival dude.

The speed at which the entire party just completely excommunicated him is crazy tbh. if pelosi, schiff, and the unions are all pulling out on the exact same day, his political career is basically over ngl.

  11. Vote for the billionaire in the run-off. I’m serious. He’s a class traitor hopefully like FDR. And Steyer is the only other Democrat in position to overtake the Republicans in the run-off.

  12. It’s so good of CNN not to name the other Democratic candidates. Wouldn’t want to help their name recognition.

It’s pretty jarring to see such a swift collapse for a frontrunner, especially when heavyweights like Schiff and Pelosi pull their support almost immediately. Whether the allegations are proven or not, the timing and the scale of the endorsement withdrawals make it feel like his campaign just hit a brick wall. This is definitely going to reshape the entire primary race for Newsom’s seat.

Does noone else find these perfectly timed accusations, idk….oddly suspicious?…just saying..

Democrats will turn their back on one of their own based on unproven allegations (remember what happened with Al Franken).

Republicans will elect a convicted felon with dozens of SA accusations and proven liability for SA.

  16. Democrats know a scandal like this can cost them a race because their voters take accusations seriously until they are proven to be false. Republicans find accusations like this to be a badge of honor sadly and it doesn’t change their odds of winning anymore even if they are proven to be true.

Let’s be real – this is awesome for democrats. We were looking at our jungle primary system blowing up in our face with 3 Dems cancelling each other out leading to republicans being the only ones to advance to the general.

    This is just plain helpful.

This is how it should be done. Rape and assault is unacceptable. While I agree that innocent until proven guilty, I also feel like when you have multiple accusations., folks should err on the side of caution. And the accused should get that they need to step back while the process plays out. And if you are innocent, never put yourself in a position that is questionable. Plastered, blottoed and wasted is a hard NO. Just don’t do it. Unacceptable.

Will Swalwell voters go to Porter? Or Steyer?

I’m guessing Porter, but who knows?

  20. In response, Republicans have nominated a guy who fucked a dog once on a bet because his friends didn’t think he would but later they were like oh yeah he totally is the type of guy who would fuck a dog.

“What would you do if it was one of your guys?” said every maga idiot ever. It’s this simple.
