That will assuredly moderate the formerly too hardline personality for his father to consider. Oh, wait, it will do the opposite.

So he hates the US and Israel even more then?

      Excellent, fantastic regime change guys

There’s no way this guy isn’t dead or in a coma, right? Sort of the perfect figurehead: ‚injuries‘ and the risk of assassination mean he never has to appear or speak in public, while remaining a martyr or symbol for the duration of the conflict (and beyond, if necessary).

    4. Thats why he hasn’t been parading around – hes disabled.

I would say those statements from him arent from him.

The clergy is losing power and the hardliner new generation of IRGC have become more dominant in the power structure of Iran

For a country that feels it won the war, it’s pretty fuckin weird their new supreme leader hasn’t shown his face once.

I’m inclined to believe this because Iran made hints about his medical condition early on. What I don’t understand is how this will possibly work out for them in the long run. Autocrats don’t really work without charisma and plastering their image everywhere. For a group as militaristic as the IRGC, will a crippled leader project the strength they would like to project? No way.

You’d almost think he was chosen for complete lack of a better option. If they unwittingly picked a dead guy, that would be crazy.

And his entire family was killed.  I’m sure he’s not going to be well disposed toward the USA.  I hope something productive will come out of negotiations regardless.  Seems like a long shot, but at least people are talking, which is somewhat encouraging.

wounds so bad he looks like cardboard. We all know what needs to be done with IRGC.

    10. Ali Khamenei was injured in an assassination attempt in the 1980s and lost the use of one arm as a result. The injury became seen as a sign of his resilience, no doubt helpful for propaganda purposes. So the new guy being disfigured or physically disabled is unlikely to undermine his authority in Iran

    11. Ngl Iran’s new supreme leader constantly looks like he’s about to drop some fire bars, or a mixtape or something in pictures

The IRGC backed him when they knew he was severely wounded, in the face of intense opposition. Makes you think, was he chosen because they believed he can still lead in his condition, or did they intentionally select somebody disabled to be their puppet?
