I’m curious. How popular are they in Korea right now?
I’m curious what this means exactly. A hiatus but also still in talks confuses me a bit.
Their Vivid album is still one of my top K-pop albums. I STILL am upset [Surreal](https://youtu.be/we1m-ZJDxOk?si=Rp4la8qkjNzsPweF) wasn’t a full blown title track. It’s one of the best K-pop songs I’ve ever heard.
They’ve always stayed super busy the past few years, but I do think they never quite found their style and concept fully. Losing a member also I think hurt them, and also supports that 4 member both groups seem to face unique challenges for whatever reason.
In any case, I kind of hope they continue on in another agency but we will see.
i’d imagine enlistment logistics being a factor here. woong 97, donghyun 98, woojin 99… realistically if they wanted to renew and continue group activities they could pull an ONF and send everyone around the same time, but i could also imagine woojin and especially daehwi wanting to branch out into solo work in these last few years before having to serve.
like if they renew, and the hyung line enlist alone, by the time they return woojin will have to go, and then by the time woojin returns daehwi will have to go. like they’re kind of screwed by the timing if you think about it.
i hope all goes well for them in their renewal talks regardless. i love ab6ix and it would be such a shame for them to disappear as a group, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we get a disbandment notice soon. hoping for the best though! 🤞
