You literally have the rest of the world practically rolling out the red carpet for you to be the next superpower and you’re harassing Taiwan instead?

Well at this point an American promise for security is all but worthless.

  3. Meddling in internal affairs of a foreign country. China doesnt like when they have it done to them.

Well , Its China. They will take taiwan sooner or later . once they are done with Taiwan , they will come for India as they want part of India’s Arunachal Pradesh too

  5. Everyone seems to forget Taiwan’s leverage of having the collective knowledge and manufacturing expertise of the semi-conductor industry, along with the advanced manufacturing fabs essentially rigged with explosives and a dead man switch.

Not a lot he can do about it. – at least militarily – Just ask Venezuela, Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria, Cambodia… I could go on.

Xi needs to look out the window.

He’d see that the Chinese people, and society, are\is in a desperate state.

It has been reported that there are **over 700 MILLION** ***surveillance camera’s*** in China.

In a population of 1.4 billion, that works out at 1 camera FOR EVERY TWO PEOPLE.

The people HATE the level to which they are watched, controlled, censored, and generally speaking, have little, if any, rights at all.

  7. China needs to grow up if they want the world to respect them. They are like a stalkerish man obsessed with the ex who left him years ago. They need to grow up and move on.

  8. No shit, but they’ll never use force. They’ll just slowly encroach politically and Taiwan will never claim independence cause they’re scared.

  9. I don’t really understand why they won’t just allow it, presumably the original reluctance was due to other regions like Tibet or Hong Kong getting any ideas, but they are pretty solidly Chinese now so í don’t see any risk from that.

Surely an independent Taiwan that drops all claims for being the „real“ China is a good overall solution? You get an end to hostilities, Taiwan drops all claims of being the „real“ China and gain more regional stability

  10. This is the meeting between the leaders of the two parties(CCP and KMT) in the Chinese Civil War. In fact, the civil war never stopped; it just changed the situation. The KMT has not only lost leadership over mainland China, but also leadership over Taiwan. If you interest with how a major political party disappears into history. KMT, who once ruled China, is a good case.

Isn’t it interesting out of the things Xi said, “will not tolerate independence” is the title.

“Compatriots on both sides of the strait are all Chinese – people of one family who want peace, development, exchange, and cooperation”
“When the family is harmonious, all things will prosper,“ he said. „Taiwan independence is the chief culprit in undermining peace in the Taiwan Strait – we will absolutely not tolerate or condone it.“

Maybe don’t be a dick about it and use good diplomacy to create an economic union but nooooo the age of humiliation need to end with war and bloodshed.

  13. What are the odds it’s China’s turn for a 3 day special military operation
