    The young are not interested in unpaid forced socialization outside of working hours?! Say it ain’t so!

    What a shock: no one wants to hang out with their coworkers for mandatory “fun” instead of spending their precious time outside of work with loved ones.

    There’s no shortage of hanami gatherings between young people. They just don’t want to do it with their office mates.

  3. Good. Japanese don’t need to spend so much time with their coworkers than they need to. More time for family and friends.

    Because our work ethic is changing and we know our system of working after work is stupid.

    Nobody was ever interested in „old values“, it’s just that taking part used to lead to increased opportunities and better pay. That’s no longer the case while people are scraping by.

    I spend enough time with people from work, and no longer buy into the idea that we are a family or we are all in this together.
