personally I think trump would want to tell people that they are chasing the uranium rather than hide it because it gives justification and if a small amount is found, then there is even more reason to continue.

Only casualties reported are ones from first day. Considering Iran has been bombing the shit out of US bases all across mid east it seems a little unlikely that there have been no casualties. So who are you going to believe? The Trump admin or the victim of him? We know the answer don’t we? Trump of course. Because if you start believing the victims it opens some highly uncomfortable topics.

    3. „you do not send c-130s to recover one pilot“

That tells you all you need to know. Edit: formatting

    4. Can’t hide deaths once the families start asking questions and reporting to their local news, who would love to take the story. Propaganda.

For some reason the name Ryder keeps coming up for me in random media. I’m starting to think it’s code for something. Or maybe I’m going certifiable haha

      Anyone else?

They’ve had ground penetrating radar running all over iran… they aren’t looking for uranium at all, the downed pilot was all a setup and distraction to get Iranian reaction forces in the area distracted.

Obviously they extracted something elsewhere nearby. Who knows what

    7. So here’s the reality of this kind of situation…

U.S. SOCOM assets hold family briefings for this exact scenario. When you serve in a special operations capacity and are being deployed in sensitive situations it is made clear to your family that such a situation might occur. Your family is expected to stay silent to the media and be supported by the Special Forces community during that time. Not saying that is the situation here, but that is how it works.

The Iranian regime is full of shit and always has been. Why wouldn’t the US send C-130s? The variant they used is specifically for this type of mission. Also worth noting that most of these aircraft were destroyed by the US after the two C-130s they originally sent (along with the helicopters they carried) got stuck and couldn’t take off.

Not like I have much faith in the transparency of the US government either, but you can’t exactly cover up the death of 100 US soldiers. Just think about the amount of leaks coming out of the white house daily, you can’t keep that under wraps. Iran uses whatever propaganda they can.

    9. You can’t just hide 100 servicemen without their families finding out. We’re talking about 100 families…

    10. Guys the fact that our government lies constantly doesn’t suddenly mean Iran’s lies become believable.

    11. this ID certainly isn’t from the „rescued pilot“ who was a colonel in the air force… But she could have been one of the personnel involved in the rescue.

“You do not send C-130’s to recover a downed pilot” uhhhh somebody’s obviously never played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and rescued Nikolai…

    13. It’s a good thing we blew up Iran’s smart card printers or I’d call this bullshit.

It’s clearly Iranian propaganda. I mean come on. A service-member doesn’t become a statistic once they die. Do you honestly believe 100+ people could just disappear from the military in a modern western connected society. Do you not think their families and friends would want to know where they are? Do you honestly believe they would be able to silence such a huge group of people. You’re talking thousands of people would need to be silenced. It’s just not feasible and not beneficial for the US to do so at all and I’m saying this as a person from the UK.

    15. 100 service member killed. So show us the bodies then. Instead they provide one ID card as proof? LOL

There’s *so much* to the Iranian spin that just doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

      >You don’t send C-130’s to recover one pilot

The US *absolutely does* send C-130’s if they need to set up a [FARP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_arming_and_refuelling_point), and a FARP is something you need to setup that deep behind enemy lines

      >The operation was seize Iran’s stockpile

So then why tf did they set up a FARP 40 km’s from Isfahan? And *how* would the troops move the Uranium? And what happened to it – how did the mission fail? And why does Iran have absolutely zero footage or proof the US went to Isfahan?

      >12 Aircraft lost

The focus of course has to shift from the IRGC completely fumbling capturing the pilot and letting the US setup a FARP in their country. Instead shifting onto Aircraft losses. Who captured that pilot was worth more to either side’s war effort than the Aircraft lost were (btw, the US produces a C-130 about ever 2 weeks).

Iran has already posted tons of misinfo around this campaign. They posted a photo of a skull in a burnt out car, cropped the photo in, and *claim* it’s the aircraft wreckage. When it’s clearly a car chassis (one of the rear deck speakers is visible)

They claim they found this ID perfectly intact at the wreckage.

They claim they destroyed the Aircraft in the air, despite the wreckage clearly looking like stationary aircraft that were destroyed next to each other.

    17. If 100 people died then where are the bodies? If even one America corpse was left on Iranian soil the regime would have paraded it around like a war trophy.

    18. bestus2come on

It makes sense aside from I would expect the Iranian s to be using 100+ deaths as a huge propaganda peice

    19. Forward-Criticism-19 on

Certainly there’s propaganda and misinformation on both sides. I wouldn’t bet on it being true nor would I bet on it not being true. Either way I’m supportive of our troops and of the elimination of that evil, murderous dictator. Agree or disagree with the method and wherever you are on the political spectrum, if you are at all good or decent you should join with the vast majority of Iranians and celebrate his departure from this earth.

    20. Rumor is the C130s each held 2 AH-6 ‘Little Birds’ which were used to rescue the WSO who was the one who was stuck for several days. The pilot was picked up the same day as the crash.

The C130s were the MC-130J which are operated only by the AirForce Pararescue Squads and 2 were abandoned because they were not able to take back off from an unimproved runway they landed on to rescue the WSO.

Two AH-64 Guardians were shot down, one in country with the pilot being picked up within moments and the other limping to base. An A-10 warthog was shot down with the same results.

The WSO had a ‘Death Box’ around him when he was on the ground and that is the explanation for a lot of the small aircraft losses. The Iranian forces were apparently 3k away from him when he set his beacon off. The ‘death box’ is a defined area around a downed airman upon which *anyone* who enters will be killed by close support aircraft. With the Iranian military operating so close, there was substantial force to those aircraft.

This is the story as relayed from a podcaster (not me) who is former AirForce Pararescue and claimed to be sharing everything he could that is not classified.

This would also be the perfect mouthpiece to play the story of what they want portrayed in the media.

It wouldn’t be the first time since we now know stories like ‘lone survivor’ were made up to promote the US military.

Been saying it for a while, you’re dealing with the equivalent of teenagers that just found out the internet was a thing

    22. This would almost be as crazy as if they said they round it in the ten tower wreckage

    23. If 100s died I feel like we would have seen 1 picture of a dead American body. Come on now
