Are the Liberals that desperate for a majority that they’ll openly welcome someone with her values?

      Gladu on January 11, 2026,

„Really, the whole point of being an MP is to represent your constituents. So if they’re voting you in under one platform -for you to switch for whatever reasons, just seems to me to not be representing what you’re supposed to be there to represent.

„We elected you under this banner, and it you don’t want to be under that banner, then we deserve a chance to have a redo.“

    3. The fact Gladu crossed and was accepted show she has no values, but more devastatingly demonstrates the Liberal party has no values either.

Carney has a pattern of abandoning his values for more power and this is yet another sign.

When will we catch on and stop fighting R vs L?

Its rich vs the rest of us.

Imagine accepting an anti-vaxxer just because you don’t want to govern as a minority given by the people in a democratic election.

Only the best for Carney and the LPC! lol

So-con. Pro-life. Believes you can pray away the gay with conversion therapy.

Opportunist … wonder what her price was.

Regardless of the party, you are being disloyal to your constituents by crossing the floor. It is disingenuous to say people typically vote for a representative over a party.

    8. Is it just me, or does it seem like an interesting coincidence that the MP for Sarnia-Lambton crosses the floor to join the government shortly after the Blue Water Bridge becomes the busiest commercial traffic crossing between Canada and the US? This seems like a tactical move heading into CUSMA negotiations.

    9. She’s been a conservative for 20+ years. She’s arguably further to the right than PP is. So why cross the floor now?

    10. The sheer hypocrisy of her and the LPC in this floor crossing are breathtaking

We want to talk about how democracy is eroding this shit is why

    11. I wonder how many MPs in the next general election would agree to pledge not to cross the floor without resigning and having a by-election first.

As a liberal supporter they really should be having by elections for all floor crossing.

This is the first time in Canadian history a government went from a minority to a majority through inducing floor crossers, and the most floor crossers since Sir John A MacDonald’s time (and in that case it was driven by the collapse of another party and its former members looking for a new home).

This is utterly unprecedented and should be igniting a crisis in our democracy. That it is not is shocking. At a minimum the RCMP should be looking at what’s happening here as part of a major criminal bribery investigation.

I have 0 confidence or respect for the federal government and consider them corrupt so this isn’t surprising. I knew he’d weasel his way to a majority

    15. Do we still have to hear about how Carney must have really appealed to her and Pierre was awful – that’s why they crossed? It’s clear they are being bribed over to get a Liberal majority. Nobody should be okay with this.

By the way, She was super anti vax and supported the trucker convoy..

She is also anti abortion, and believes there are only 2 genders male and female. She’s also anti gay marrage.

But it’s all good now that she’s on your side am I Right liberals.
