Italien ruft den israelischen Botschafter ein, nachdem im Libanon Schüsse auf die UN abgefeuert wurden

On April 8, Italy summoned the Israeli ambassador to demand an explanation after Israeli forces fired warning shots at an Italian convoy within the U.N. peacekeeping mission (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon. The convoy, traveling from Shama to Beirut, was struck by the shots about 2 kilometers into its journey, causing damage to a vehicle but no injuries.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani condemned the incident, stating Israeli forces had no authority to target Italian troops. Defense Minister Guido Crosetto described the attack as a serious threat to the safety of peacekeepers and the credibility of the mission. He urged the United Nations to intervene with Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of UNIFIL personnel.

This incident comes amid rising tensions, with Israel intensifying strikes on Lebanon as part of its ongoing conflict with Hezbollah, asserting that a ceasefire involving the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran does not apply in Lebanon.

It’s really simple actually, Israel didn’t get the memo and kept carpet bombing Lebanon.

Something something the religious fanatics on both sides have a symbiotic relationship

Israel jock riders are always good for a justification of their degeneracy.

Nothing new for the Israeli regime.

What peacekeeping are they doing? UN are useless.

UNIFIL has allowed again the mandate they signed on to be there, for hezbollah to take control and set base in south lebanon, let alone literally right next to UNIFIL as israel shown not ao long ago.

They are still there because they get the money to be there, and they have been there as a way to keep israel in check, not to do their job.

I expect they lie again as they lied before about before, when they blamed israel rockets where shot at them, ended up failed rockets from hezbollah.

Nothing that comes out of their mouth is a real truth. The moment the mandate was signed as irrelevant they should have got up and left. Not like they are doing their job now except trying to be human shields to hezbollah.

At this point UNFIL is placed there to protect the region from the Israelis.

When you look at which side is committing the most murders and war crimes, it’s kind clear who the UNFIL is there to protect.

This is why the IDF is shooting at UN forces.
