I didn’t read the article but based on “The Big Takeaways” posted above, a weight loss difference of a few pounds is less than I would’ve expected. My PCP says that among her patients taking GLP-1 agonist drugs, “some have lost 100 lbs, some lost zero and the rest are in between”. I know some people are considered “super responders”, losing multiples of the amount lost by other folks; also, that diabetic Type 2 patients lose, on average, less than non-diabetics; there seems to be a huge variation in response. The DNA differences studied here don’t seem to account for much of the weight loss difference.
