This is not nearly as alarming as the headline might suggest. The few cases of PR status being revoked were due to lies on the person’s application for entry. Further cases are likely to apply only to the same issue and to the revisions (from April 2027) that allow revocation for non-payment of taxes.
Even in the latter case this has leniency for „unavoidable circumstances“ and also requires the person to have been aware of their obligation to pay. In other words, you don’t get immediately kicked out if you have sudden financial problems and go into arrears, and you don’t get kicked out if you had a tax charge you weren’t aware of (as long as you pay it thereafter).
