We can get them there in better ways, but I don’t doubt that we could use a couple of weeks to get in more troops, supplies and weapons. I’d be very surprised if a ground invasion doesn’t still happen. When the military decides to do something, it almost always gets done. We don’t move all that shit and people over there for nothing. The wheels are in motion. That and trump is probably trying to help control the price of oil and also give his peeps a couple of weeks to harvest gains and prepare for the real shitstorm that is coming…and that’s at least a few years of war. Even if they remove Trump, Vance will continue on this path.
I think a land invasion would be immensely unpopular no matter how it’s done. If it had popular support we would have been there a month ago.

Second, no. The US military doesn’t need to do that. Iran has put up a hell of a fight and proven to be taken serious but nothing is stopping the U.S. from using its dedicated ships and all its complimentary equipment made for the safest landings *possible*.
Using tankers would essentially make hundreds/thousands of troops sitting ducks with no exfil support if shit goes sideways.
