  1. They always say the opposite of this before they become PM “she/he is highly respected and popular within the party,” and then say the opposite after they become PM…

She’s not even popular in the public. She’s „accepted“ in the public because that’s what was fed to them. If you critique her you are anti Japan.

I know that X is a cesspool, but it is used by a lot of Japanese people. Any posts that simply critisizes Takaichi are responded to in mass with „well, who would you pick?“ or „can you do better?“ with a massive amount of likes.. as though that constitutes as logic.

Someone even posted a LONG list of things they disliked about her / her objective shortcomings. The response, „I can agree with the first 3 reasons, but not anything below that.“

One of the things below that was „a prime minister that puts the lives of the people before her image.“

    Literally insane…

It’s funny how the only people who can potentially oust LDP leadership is other LDP factions and none of the opposition parties. People often complain about Japan being a single-party state but at least we get different flavors from time to time

  4. Support Takaichi or Dont support her its all fair game but all the LDP politicians who become “anti-takaichi” but acted like they supported her to get elected in the lower house should lose their seat
