  1. I am not sure if burning bridges is the way to put it. It is more closely like placing one foot over the other foot and then give them a double tap with a shot gun.

I don’t think Americans realize how hated Trump is outside of the US right now -and in his wake, the USA.

As Putin intended. As Heritage Foundation intended. As oligarchs intended. As AIPAC – well – they just don’t care as long as Iran is getting bombed.

If he won’t stop on his own, he needs to be stopped. It’s a law of motion.

  5. Trump is insane. What he is doing can’t be undone. Trump’s threat to Iran can never be justified. This is what can be expected for the next 3 years unless the GOP grows a pair and uses the 25th Amendment. Unless he is held responsible now, his actions and words today will be like Groundhog Day.

It’s a feature of this administration, not a bug. He ran and was assisted in being put into power to severely weaken the United States. It’s the only logical conclusion if you watch his administration’s actions over their words.

Neither Trump nor Hegseth is capable of forming a functionally rational view of war with Iran because of the uniquely compelling side issues that are driving each one.

With Trump it’s the need for a diversion from the Epstein files.

And with Hegseth it’s [Deus Vult](https://www.bing.com/search?q=deus+vult+tattoo+meaning&form=ANNTH1&refig=69d5214380e74c26ad2cd24beb4f122a&pc=LCTS&pq=deus+vult+t&pqlth=11&assgl=24&sgcn=deus+vult+tattoo+meaning&qs=MT&sgtpv=MT&smvpcn=0&swbcn=10&sctcn=0&sc=10-11&sp=4&ghc=1&cvid=69d5214380e74c26ad2cd24beb4f122a&clckatsg=1&hsmssg=0) – with the words tattooed on his bicep and the crosses on his chest – taken from the First Crusade of medieval Europeans against the „infidels“ occupying the „holy land“.

„Following the First Crusade, „Deus Vult“ was employed in **crusader banners, battle cries, and religious propaganda**. It served as both a motivational slogan and a statement framing the Crusades as **religiously justified wars**. The notion that God willed their military endeavors reinforced the Crusaders’ conviction that their campaigns had moral and spiritual legitimacy….“

  8. He’s destroying America? Surprise, surprise, it’s totally not a russian plan. I think too few american (and politicians) understood the US is at war with russia and they are destroying the US from the inside.

  9. Trump set the world on fire and is mad everyone isn’t putting it out for him so he’s throwing gasoline on the fire

    >Again, I think it would be good for Europe — which has seen energy prices skyrocket because of the war and still needs the U.S. for its security — to swallow some of the humiliation and help.

Jonah Goldberg utterly, utterly, utterly misses the point.

U.S. allies are, by staying the fuck out of this stupid war, doing the best possible thing they can for themselves. Nobody with any sense would trust Trump, the U.S. , Netanyahu, or Israel further than they can be thrown. When the U.S. stops bombing people, somebody is going to have to pick up the pieces and be involved in securing the resulting armistice.

And that somebody needs to not be anyone involved in the war. The European states would like a seat at that table, and by joining the American war, they’re basically ceding it all to Russia, China, India, and Pakistan.

  11. Well, MAGA was right about one thing. Trump runs the country like he runs his businesses…. straight into the fucking ground.

And again the question must be asked, if he was working as a foreign asset what would he be doing differently??? He’s destroyed the country and we’ll be stuck drowning in the ashes for the rest of our lives

  13. Freddy-Borden on

The President is a foreign asset, and you are a legitimate traitor to America if you support him

  14. Yeah thats the plan, isolate the american people in a new country specific dark age, keep em scared, poor, sick and uneducated and live under a ruling cast of oligarchs as a serf caste, thats the maga endgame.

  15. Fl0riduh_Man on

It’s all in the P2025 plan, isolate America from its historical allies because the thought is that the more we’re removed from the feminizing aura of Europe and its woke ways, the more our inner He-Man Woman Hater would flourish.

It’s stupid, but so are MAGA

Next Dem president—if we ever get to that point—is going to have their work cut out for them. The America apology tour is going to be a very rough one.

  17. It’s crazy how in 2014 I legit had no gripes with America. I had visited 30 states and made it a goal to see the rest by the time I turned 50. Frequented the states to shop and for long weekend getaways, would go down to my then boyfriends parents place in Myrtle beach which their grandparents owned.

Meanwhile in Canada, Stephen Harper was passing racist legislation while Barry O was projecting the pride flag on the White House.

It’s not just trump burning the bridges. It’s what the culture of America has become known for which is why I pity myself for dreaming of seeing 50 states.

The curtain was pulled back and what we previously saw as a stereotype of the loudmouth nationalist arrogant American, became a sort of proud stance for the majority of voters. Not only did they really not care about you all that time, now theyre gonna talk shit about you and you’re gonna take it.

My now in-laws sold their place in Myrtle beach and have never been back because they were getting harassed at gas stations and their fucking spin class. It’s crazy how fast a switch can flip where you all of a sudden don’t give a shit about trader joes or Chicago or driving across the continent.

I still went during trumps first term. I didn’t check where my groceries were coming from. It’s become personal because his voters want him to treat us this way.

I know my gripe is not with all Americans. Certainly not a majority who will read this. It probably should be with capitalism, the manosphere, Russia, Zuckerberg. Canada certainly isn’t impervious from it, but I’m still proud as fuck how we resoundingly rejected it by voting for Carney.

The thing is idk how my brain will ever want to patronize your country again without feeling like a total cuck.

So the Iranian people who thought he was saving them are waiting to die?

  19. >Again, I think it would be good for Europe — which has seen energy prices skyrocket because of the war and still needs the U.S. for its security — to swallow some of the humiliation and help.

Yeah, not buying this argument at all.

Trump started the war on his own, and has proven time and again that he can’t be trusted by anyone, not just the Europeans. Plus there’s no guarantee helping Trump will fix anything in the first place.

  20. This is one of the oligarch owned newspapers that refused to allow an editorial supporting harris/walz.

  21. Huh it’s almost likes Trump is a Kremlin puppet and this is exactly the goal the whole time

  22. CheapBit7036 on

It’s almost like he has a playbook written by someone who wants to destroy this country.
