  1. Do you think it’s a coincidence that Trump’s deadline for Iran is when the markets close? I think it’s a complete coincidence. Must be.

  2. Callabrantus on

Trump should no longer be president by end of day. If this isn’t too far, America has all but accepted its doom.

  3. Brief_Amicus_Curiae on

Author of this article failed to mention that both chambers of Congress are on spring recess and returns on Monday. Doesn’t seem likely for Thune or Speaker Johnson to call for emergency hearings or votes. So, there’s that.

  4. Romantic_Piscean on

It’s a painful process, full of denial, for the right-wing in the US right now as they love what Trump has brought them in terms of power. Nobody else can deliver this and they know it. So they’re going to hang on to him like a bloated Kremlin-era corpse as he wages wars, targets Americans, manipulates elections and destroys democracy. It seems wishful thinking to believe that Republicans will do anything about Trump.

  5. 25th Amendment is not what is needed. Removal after Impeachment is.

Besides, who in his cabinet will actually follow the Constitution for the first time and do it?

With that said, removal is also unrealistic because it would require the GOP controlled Congress to also follow the Constitution. Something they actively ignored and torn to shreds for decades.

  6. GrumpyOldFart7676 on

The GOP doesn’t have the internal fortitude to call out their own.

  7. Call your representatives… Senators and Congress members. I did and they indicated the public outreach and outage is evident. Keep up the pressure.

  8. Kaffe-Mumriken on

Read the goddamn amendment. It’s not FOR THAT.

It’s about removing a comatose president when nobody knows who is the president.

It’s EASIER to pull off an impeachment which is what SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED A LONG TIME AGO

  9. Oh, but that would mean putting country over party.

Humans would rather send the world to its grave than admit their dude is bat shit crazy

  10. The 25th Amendment needed in the 250th Anniversary year. What a coincidence — the Founding fathers are probably jumping in the graves

  11. Radically-Peaceful on

Trump is an out-of-control psychopath who cares about nothing except himself.

GOP silence is complicity in Trump’s terrorist regime.

  12. GuyHamburgers on

A country which refuses to govern certainly isn’t going to start now.

  13. KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla on

No this has gone way too far, Trump has literally just stated he will destroy a civilisation tonight. Yes Vance is bad, but not this evil. Not one more second can be wasted, there is no more time, where is Congress?

  14. Realistically everyone commenting here should realize that no matters what he does, other than dieing, will make his MAGA congressmen vote to convict.

  15. They want this to happen. Why would they use the 25th? It’s their fucking one wish above all wishes to be part of a fascist state that attacks without restraint or concern. They are loving every single disgusting immoral fucking moment of it.

And best of all, for these ghouls, trump will be the one holding the bag.

  16. The 25th amendment is designed for presidents that are completely incapacitated. Like it or not, he is not incapacitated. He can immediately reverse any attempts to use the 25th amendment because he’s still capable of issuing orders.

Mechanisms exist, but the 25th isn’t it.

  17. Crafty_Ish1973 on

Trump should have been removed from office and disqualified from running again after January 6th, but Republicans were complicit then, too.

  18. Busy-Difficulty-4757 on

People were screaming this from the rooftops in 2020 then again after January 6th and nothing happened. The GOP is complicit.

  19. RegularHeroForFun on

Trump should have never been allowed to complete his first term. Let alone even start a second..

  20. Long-Tradition6399 on

Anyone who is still enabling him should face consequences for doing so. We’re all seeing this madness happening in real time and not a damn word from Congress or any action at all.

The man is promising to „wipe out an entire civilization“ tonight. This isn’t a „metaphor“ or a „joke“ …. this is a crime and people need to face consequences for enabling this !!!

  21. I’ve said it before but I will say it again: this isn’t what the 25th is for and the people calling for the 25th are actively carrying water for the Republican Congress who *actually* has the power to remove Trump.

Trump’s cabinet does not have the constitutional power to remove him from office, that’s not what the 25th says and not how it works.

  22. Slade_Riprock on

Stop calling for the 25th Amendment.

It only TEMPORARILY removes him from office and must be affirmed by both houses of Congress by a 2/3 majority. And the POTUS cna petition to return to power at anytime and Congress has to vote on every request and must be 2/3 every time or he immediately returns.

If you have 2/3, then impeach and Convict removing him permanently

  23. Face it. Congress won’t do shit because the insanity isn’t just Trump, it’s an entire party.

  24. MiddleAgedSponger on

They are probably negotiating the Trump pardons. He won’t step down til all his money and his kids money is untouchable.

  25. PoliticalNerdMa on

This man appointed 3 Supreme Court justices of the total 9 justices. Remember that.

  26. Trump is the definition of a psychopathic terrorist.

And he has his finger on the button.

  27. Oh, THIS is too far? OK. I thought it would be „Grab her by the pussy“, or the Epstein files or the weaponization of the justice department but sure. If this is what gets you there, fine.

  28. Trump is now deep into full-blown murderous dictator mode à la Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Kim Il-sung, King Leopold II etc.

Accordingly, the USA is close to being on the wrong side of World War III.

  29. IndependentlyMatch on

People throw around „The 25th“ every time they hate a President’s foreign policy, but let’s be real: Section 4 requires the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to sign off. Given the current 2026 Cabinet is filled with loyalists, the chances of them staged a „coup“ over an Iran proposal are zero. Unless there is a documented medical emergency or a total mental collapse, the 25th is a fantasy. It’s not a tool for „I don’t like his rhetoric“; it’s a tool for „He literally cannot function.

  30. Tricky-Amoeba4242 on

He went too far when he raped little girls, but America’s priorities, I guess.

  31. It was too late 5 years ago when he TRIED TO HAVE HIS OWN VICE-PRESIDENT FUCKING LYNCHED ON CAPITOL HILL

  32. The trouble with the 25th is I don’t think there are enough people in the cabinet willing to do this. Consider who is in the cabinet? These people are at best sycophants, and some inevitably are facing potential prosecution following the collapse of the administration. These people are trapped, and I think they will behave dangerously to protect themselves.

  33. PixelatedFrogDotGif on

No, arrest him NOW. Arrest the whole admin. This is enough.

Threatening the lives of 100 MILLION PEOPLE is beyond reprehensible behavior. It is disgusting, abhorrent, no turning back from talk.

If we go through with this the entire planet can be destroyed.

Why have we suddenly so conveniently forgotten about Mutually Assured Destruction?

Yes, it is that fucking serious.

This needs to stop today. We are passed the point of incrimination.

This is criminality & evil in its most nakedly corrupted form.
