Also denk daran!

What is so difficult to understand? You have seguro social and you have to pay for it if you have an income.
If you make 60 euros a year you have way bigger problems than social security payments.
It can seem ridiculous, but it’s not a mistake. It is correct information. On the other hand, you receive the protection of social security. The system is not designed for small autonomo businesses at all.
The tax system does everything to squash investment and entrepreneurship.
Another small example, wanna sell your house and build a new house? Create a new taxable asset for them that is currently a piece of mud?
You have 2 years to apply the capital from the house you sell, to the new house or they see it as profit and tax you on it. It takes about 2 years *just* to design and get permissions, THEN start construction of 12-18 months.
Along the way you will have paid vat on everything, paid building permission taxes, then 10% vat on the construction + the 10% transfer tax on the land..
They’re worse than most governments because although a lot of others tax you to death, Spain makes it difficult for you to pay them to kill you (financially). You need a decent (expensive) tax lawyer to plan anything, usually years in advance.
Same as why do I need a gestor for everything?! Oh yeah, because they somehow have all the government appointments…
They gave you a generic answer (literally what the law says) and you, instead of interpret it, assume that it is literally your case, which is not.
If you don’t perform an activity in a „**routinely, personal and direct**“ way you don’t have to be autónomo. Since your activity was **a one-time event** and the royalties generated are very low (there are sentences that say that you need to have some level of income for an activity to be considered „routinely“), you don’t need to be autónomo.
they bunch of clowns
If your income is less than SMI (9.080,40 €) you dont need to register or pay that. Please dont spread missinformation.
Edit. The value of smi is higher, but you dont need to register for 60 anual €
Short answer.
Do it for free, less troubles.
Even if you make 0€ in a given month, if you are registered you have to pay. It’s criminal.
There is no mistake though. Spain does NOT want people to be self employed. They don’t want a thriving small business sector. The country still suffers from feudal thinking and they are unable to comprehend what more enlightened nations have known since Adam Smith.

Requirements for invoicing without being self-employed
As we say, it is possible to issue invoices without being self-employed, but you have to make sure you meet a series of requirements for this to be totally legal. We explain them below:
Registration in Economic Activities (Treasury): you cannot issue any type of invoice without first registering in the register of Economic Activities, i.e., the Treasury. For it, it is necessary to fill and to present the Model 036 or the Model 037. It is very important not to confuse this registration with that of the RETA, which is for self-employed.
Sporadic activity: it is the most important requirement for Hacienda. These invoices cannot be your main source of income and cannot be recurrent. If so, the system will detect it and you will receive a financial penalty.
Do not exceed the Minimum Interprofessional Wage: this is not really a requirement, but it is something favorable. In the event that the Social Security claims that you have to register for having invoiced without being self-employed, but your turnover has not exceeded the SMI (€1,000 gross per month or €14,000 per year), the courts may rule in your favor by appealing the sentence, as there have been cases. They can, although it does not always have to be applied

Spanish here confirming hahahahhaha
Pretty sure you’re not forced to pay the fee if you’re earning less than the SMI per year, and it’s not a continuous activity.
Like people who sale on wallapop, it’s not their main job and they don’t pay transaction taxes nor income tax for this.
I recommend you speak to a „gestor“ (administrative) to clarify any doubts.
There are also collectives to whom you can pay a subscription and they’ll take care of the invoicing
Reddit can be dangerous for fiscal matters my friend, as everyone seems to be talking outta their ass, me included!
As an autonomo myself, first months started at around 70e and progressively increase each month to the max of 250-300 (whatever your SS regime is).
Another option is to have an autonomo friend who could just invoice for you til you have enough income to deal with it yourself.
You know you can declare yourself „Baja“ three times a year if you know you won’t be earning the next month, for example.
The fees are expensive but also it’s my contribution to the health service and to my small autonomo pension
Lo de hacer un post en inglés sobre un correo completamente en español me tiene dando volteretas
SocSec is right and you are getting it wrong. In this case you have the problem, not them.
