The absolute hubris of suing for defamation when you actually did the things they accused you of is wild. He basically forced the legal system to air all his dirty laundry and now its finally catching up to him in criminal court.

Good. War is bad enough, we don’t need to be celebrating criminals too.

>Ross Barnett, director of investigations at OSI, said Mr Roberts-Smith’s arrest was a „significant step“ under „challenging circumstances“.
>“The OSI has been tasked with investigating literally dozens of murders alleged to have been committed in the middle of a war zone in a country 9,000 kilometers from Australia,“ he said.
>“We can’t go to that country, we don’t have access to the crime scenes… We don’t have photographs, site plans, measurements, the recovery of projectiles, blood spatter analysis… We don’t have access to the deceased.“
So how did they arrive at the conclusion that he committed war crimes? The article doesn’t say. Does anyone have more info? (not disputing the conclusion, just asking for info on the process.)

They could send him to a giant island meant to relocate all the other criminals.

This monster would take the prosthetic leg of a civilian that he murdered around bars and pubs so people could drink out of it.

Read the book Fort Bragg Cartel. It details the goings on of the Special Forces community in and around Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Long story short, they are criminals running a drug empire and there have been people killed in very suspicious ways which were swept under the rug.
I say that to say this: Special Forces soldiers aren’t Supermen, they’re just very fit guys who have no qualms about doing anything asked of them in the name of whatever flag they commit crimes under. Most of them are psychopaths.
