      At least some, arguably most or even all, of those power plants are civilian infrastructure protected from attack by the Geneva Conventions.

      If Donald Trump dies of natural causes before ever seeing the inside of a jail cell, I really think that will be the final nail in the coffin of a once-great country.

      Since people aren’t reading the article, the ‚in four hours‘ of the headline is referring to how long it would take from the 8 PM Eastern Time deadline tomorrow until midnight, during which Trump is claiming the US military would be able to bomb all 130 or so power plants in Iran.

      He’s not saying the deadline is in 4 hours from now or anything like that.

      But the reality is that this is absolutely not good news for the millions of normal citizens in Iran. The IRGC can make all the memes they want, but their people are suffering.

      Nothing he says is real. Iran isn’t going to trust anything he says anymore after the US attacked them and started a war during peaceful negotiations. He’ll bomb TF out of Iran, and then the entire World — most especially Iranian citizens, whom he seems to want to help but c’mon he couldn’t care less — will bear the cost.

      This is one occasion where I hope there is a TACO move. All those ppl without any power is very cruel and no one can do anything about it. Saying you are going to make all the civilians suffer is just insane from the guy who thought he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.

      Or perhaps, since he has not won it, he feels there is no reason to pretend to want peace anymore. I wonder how the one who gifted him the peace prize feels now?

      I wish countries had the military and economic strength to posture in such a way to keep the USA in check

      Note to any service member out there – “following orders” is not a justifiable defense to committing illegal actions. Remember that it’s your duty to not blindly follow the orders of a bumbling idiot that shits himself. If/when the adults get back in control, I’d hope that all these atrocities are investigated and everyone is held accountable from the top down.

      What even was the endgame in all this? Public transportation is getting crippled on my side of the world because of rising fuel costs. Life here already feels like Dark Souls sometimes because of our own corrupt government but god damn none of us asked for an additional challenge.
