As an attorney, I’m very glad to see this case going forward. What happened at that concert was massively negligent by Live Nation, and they should be held to account for it.
A lot of people don’t realize that Ticketmaster and Live Nation are the same company, and have been getting away with scamming people for way too long. The justice department was in the process of unwinding their merger because it undoubtedly created a monopoly on the ticketing system, but of course that got axed when a certain individual took office.
I very much hope this suit is successful.
(Side note: I didn’t attend the Stray Kids concerts last year, but I was very happy to hear that the Chicago stop, which took place a few days after the above described events, went extremely well, with lots of free water being offered. That’s my city folks, and we’re proud.)

Good for them!! I was at this concert and the conditions were insane. There were people passing out and being laid down in the space between the grandstand and the floor seats, it was legitimately so scary. Not to mention getting in the stadium took forever and was a complete shitshow.

I know in some states and areas there is some kind of right to water law for events that are held in the extreme heat so no one dies.
NO ONE Should be forced to pay $10+ for a medically necessary bottle of water to stay alive anywhere.
Free water sources should always be available and water bottles SHOULD NOT BE BANNED ANYWHERE!
I know in some places you can walk up to a stand and they have to give you a free cup of water, cedar point has this rule and I am sure there are other places.
My personal policy is if a place does not allow my water bottle inside I do not go to that place. Even if I really loved a band, if they had this policy and were charging $10-20 for a bottle of water, I would not be attending.
GOOD! These fans were treated the absolute worst out of all of the stops! Live Nation and the stadium this was hosted at need to be held accountable.
I was at that concert, it almost felt like the staff was malicious towards the concert goers. I heard them refer to the attendees as “little girls” (fully grown women), and we had a friend who delivered us water bottles in line so we could hand them out to people passing out. They also delayed opening the gates by at LEAST an hour past when they said they would. I drank 2 liters of water while in line and didn’t need to use the restroom once.
As they should, this was unacceptable and Live Nation needs to be held accountable for how things went down. It could’ve ended up worse and I’m glad it didn’t come down to that.
I didn’t think it (the lawsuit) was gonna happen! It was honestly one of worst nights of my life. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so helpless, and I wasn’t even close to the sickest one there!
Good! SKZ themselves responsibly cancelled this concert early for safety. But LN staff making people throw out water bottles and buy new water inside at a high price is absolutely illegal. Or should be I hope.
I hope they win. I was at another stop but the heat was outrageous last year.
Fans in DC experienced extreme heat. I couldn’t imagine waiting hours then the concert starts and there’s 3+ more hours of extreme heat to go.
And don’t forget many fans showed up extra early for pit.
Oh shit, get em! LN and their staff were cruel asf for what they did esp the water witholding, not to mention everything else.
