It is a fact that first-past-the-post is a terrible voting system, worse in every way than almost any other voting system. Its only „advantage“ is that it is so simple that it can be very easily understood. But that very simplicity means that it fails most criteria for a good voting system.
But it is not unconstitutional, merely a bad voting system.

Leaving aside the legal argument, on the one hand, unelected judges deciding how elections are run doesn’t seem right and any ruling makes the courts a target. On the other hand, self interested politicians get to decide the rules right now.
