    1. Pepsi, Diageo, Paypal and now Rockstar

This is now a guaranteed financial black hole for the festival organisers

Chances of cancelling either Kanye or the festival as a whole increasing by the day

    2. Strike down this festival and he will return more antisemitic than you can possibly imagine.

    3. wireless is a great fest so it’d be nice if they could reorganise. find the 3 days of headlining stuff a bit weird, no matter who it is

    4. Honestly think this is all a bit mental and shows how prevalent the performative outrage is in this country. Pepsi was a sponsor for his shows in LA literally a few days ago and PayPal were the main sponsors for the presale where he was the only artist announced.

Chris Brown performs here and at wireless before and no one bats an eye and wireless has had several artists accused of and even found guilty of murder perform and there was no outrage there.

He’s also performed all over the world in recent months and no one cared, why is it our country where we have to police this stuff to the max?

    5. Im happy he’s changed course, but there are more artists that deserve a platform rather than giving one back to him.

And, I just wished these corporations were consistent with moving away from profiles and platforms that have supported Nazi’ism in any way.

    6. All a bit performative this.

PayPal were literally the presale method and happy to advertise that way

    7. Airurando-jin on

Did the organisers not have the foresight to predict this ?

I know the circumstances answer that question but seems incredibly tone deaf to have pushed ahead with it.
