    It is not just that the TFR is, on average, low. But the coastal regions are depopulating rapidly. I guess this is offset due to internal migration?

    Think we can assume this map is crap.

  3. The „west“ seems to be optimistically concerned about lower Chinese fertility rates. Is this what they think will magically help them from falling into irrelevance soon?

    It won’t work for them.

    Map uses Xizang for Tibet – this is a word pushed by China to try to erase Tibet’s distinct identity.
