February makes sense statistically, but April surprised. Me. I suppose if conceptions are less common in summer months, then April is the only 30 day month that corresponds.
I wonder if there less sex in the summer, or if the warmer temperatures reduce sperm viability.
Listen, July here in Italy is just way too hot to be hot about something else

I expected march for Spain, since there is a saying: “quien por San Juan sanjuanea, por marzo marcea”.
San Juan is a very important festivity on june 24th, and if you celebrate it to much… you have troubles in march, 9 months later.

The same effect happens in my country (southern hemisphere). Why people make less sex in the summer, or more sex in the winter?

In Norway, December is the least favorable month to have a kid in regards to get a spot in day care because of how the admission system is designed. A December baby is only guaranteed a spot in daycare when they are around 1,5 year old, which can be an issue for some couples as parental leave is only 1 year.
I know quite some couples that actively aimed for a July baby as this is the most favorable month for a spot in day care as soon as they turn 1.

Pro tips : don’t count 9month backward but 3 month forward. You’re welcome

The map is ugly, but it’s really interesting. What could explain such differences? Is there a cultural reason?

Why is 9 months before April so unpopular?

If it is wrong for Sweden, I assume the rest is also unreliable. https://www.scb.se/hitta-statistik/redaktionellt/fler-barn-fods-pa-sommaren-an-pa-varen/
Now that I think about it, I’ve never met anyone whose birthday is in January.
