Bei Wahlkundgebungen in Ungarn begann die Menge zu skandieren: „Russen – geh nach Hause!“ Der historische Slogan „Ruszkik haza“ entstand während der ungarischen Revolution von 1956 und richtete sich gegen die sowjetische Besatzung.
I am so surprised at how the Hungarian population puts up with a pro soviet Govt given the history of soviet occupation. I wonder if Putin has some similar dirt on Orban like he does on trump and is a puppet master.

Given that they’ve already lived under Russian occupation, it’s all the more puzzling that society as a whole isn’t more supportive of Ukraine.
The upcoming vote will go some way to decide their fate…. The Orbán Russian vassal state or democracy / European Union

We see in Hungary what we see in many nations and cultures today, including my own. Relatively well off and educated urban populations working towards democratic reforms, while mis-informed indoctrinated rural populations react in fear, and preferential to strong man demagogues spouting 3 and 4 word slogans.
