Western Thrace was, formally, incorporated by Greece in 1923 (Turkey recognized it).
& while Greece would expand, again, post-WW2 – Western Thrace is the region that was longest, under Turk occupation, (572 years).

Misak-ı Milli borders are defined as the core territory that are under the control of Ottoman Empire when Armistice of Mudros (Oct 30th 1918) was signed. Therefore Western Thrace was not in the original Misak-ı Milli (Jan 28th 1920), which was approved in the last session of the Ottoman Parliament. You can easily finds maps that claim these borders extend as far as Albania or Saudi Arabia. They are totally wrong. Even Western Thrace was not there in the beginning. But later it was added due to legitimacy problems (I am not sure with this one.)

Moreover, I’m sure many people don’t want this because of the countless minorities that would join the country’s population.
Only the Turkmen populations in Iraq and Syria are significant, but they are very far inland and quite scattered.
Greedy ahh
It’s not National Pact. Its National Promise.
