This isn’t a big surprise – recent GGs have tended to serve roughly 5 year terms, with Simon’s five years coming up in July.
There is always the option to extend her term (as Harper did with Johnston), but this seems to confirm that won’t be the case.
I’ll be curious who Carney chooses to succeeds her.
