  1. Feels like one of those “nothing to see here, but also… something is definitely happening” situations. Evacuating staff from a nuclear facility isn’t exactly routine, even if they frame it as precautionary.

Could be tied to broader regional tensions rather than anything specific at the plant itself, but it does make you wonder how close things are getting behind the scenes. Anyone know if other countries are quietly doing the same with their personnel in the area?

But according to reddit the nuclear plant was a nothingburger and they had no hopes of achieving their goals?

Russia really good at attacking NPPs why don’t Trump outsource it to them?

So, Araghchi warns any radiation fallout will disproportionately poison the GCC nations, Russia evacuates staff. It sounds like something has happened, maybe a leak that’s become hard to contain?

The IAEA’s response of “no increase in radiation levels” is beginning to sound a little like: “3.6 Roentgen, not great, not terrible”

This is a sign that the Islamic Republic is close to collapse. Russia always withdraws its personnel from allied countries right before the regime collapses. A similar thing happened in Syria right before Assad fled.

  6. Most likely, they are preventing the collapse of the Iranian regime. The US and Israel did the right thing by attacking the regime’s leaders and its economic apparatus. 80% of Iran’s metallurgy devastated. Almost 100% of medicines and pharmaceutical companies destroyed. Attacks on bunkers with tons of weapons and missiles destroyed (I know they rebuilt some, but the weapons and missiles are destroyed). A fragmented ruling body with a loss of effective power (the Israeli Revolutionary Guard is maintained by groups like Hamas and Hezbollah). Loss of trust from its neighbors. Iran, as a country, will have to work to recover.
