  1. US Military is becoming a White Christian Nationalist army.
Hegseth sees himself as instrumental in bringing about biblical prophesy.

  2. This is a massive blow to the administration. When the Archbishop for the Military Services, the guy responsible for the spiritual well-being of the troops says the war isn’t just, it creates a huge crisis of conscience for Catholic service members. You can’t just hand wave away the Just War theory when it’s coming from the top chaplain.

You guys have bishops in your military???
America never fails to surprise me

This war was ONLY to distract Americans from the Epstein evidence contained in the FBI files. Thousands have died because Trump raped little girls. We must vote and we must IMPEACH!

  5. The Vatican is reading the room better than the Pentagon because they know exactly how these regional quagmires end for everyone involved. Calling a modern geopolitical power struggle a holy war is just a desperate attempt to put a coat of paint on a bloodbath.

The problem here is The Idiot King and his idiots aren’t actually Christian. They’re whatever the fuck monstrosity American Denominational Christianity has become.

The timing of this, right after the F-15E was downed, is brutal. The Archbishop is essentially saying that Operation Epic Fury lacks a clear defensive necessity and proportional response. If the goal is regime change or preemptive strike, the Church has been clear since the Iraq War that those don’t meet the criteria.

  8. >Archbishop Timothy Broglio, head of the Catholic Archdiocese for the Military Services USA, told CBS News in an interview set for broadcast Sunday that while Iran “was a threat with nuclear arms”…

A threat „With nuclear Arms“, he says. Then proceeds to say why The US shouldn’t have invaded. He starts with a lie about Iran having ’nuclear arms‘, then tries to placate popular opinion. Keep those lips chapped, you’ll never be Pope.

  9. This is the same thing as the 2003 Iraq invasion. Campaign contributions from the Military-Industrial Complex to the GOP. And to create unnecessary jobs so the president can appear to be a job maker. It’s exactly what Eisenhower warned us about in his 1961 farewell speech.

  10. This is a massive moral crisis for those of us currently deployed. Archbishop Broglio isn’t just some random cleric; he’s the head of the Archdiocese for the Military Services. If he says Operation Epic Fury doesn’t meet the Jus ad Bellum criteria, it puts Catholic pilots and sailors in a position of conscientious objection
while they’re literally in the cockpit.

  11. Real Christians know war is last resort. Trump made it first resort. Shame on him.

Donald Trump threatened to commit war crimes in his address days ago—warning Iran that he won’t hesitate to strike at crucial energy and desalinization infrastructure.

Bombing major civilian infrastructure violates both international and US law.

Meanwhile, US and Israeli bombs have already struck schools, hospitals, heritage sites, residential areas and non military facilities that are vital to the Iranian people’s economy, their welfare, and their future.

I suppose the difference now is, Trump is bragging about it while showing cruel indifference towards the very same people of Iran who we are supposed to be freeing from the clutches of the repressive Islamic regime…

So much for „liberating“ the people.

It’s only a matter of time before the Catholic MAGA realize that Christian Nationalism in the US is Protestant and has always been hostile to Catholics. They’re useful at the moment and nothing more.

The archbishop should hide his gold attire, hat and lectern/podium before it ends up as decoration in the oval office.

It does meet the standard of it being *just war* though, so Petey is happy

  16. To be clear he is not a US military archbishop. He is the most prominent leader of Catholics in the United States and therefore accredits US military Catholic chaplains who are US military officers. Just like an Episcopalian or Mormon top-leadet accredits their chaplains.

And thats why hegs had a protestant only gathering, whats up with Crusader tatt then? Just another ad for something…

  18. Now we understand the news that Catholic Easter Mass will not be held in the military.
